Neil Gaiman reads The Graveyard Book
I really enjoy listening to Neil Gaiman read! I first experienced "The Graveyard Book" as an audiobook, read by him. Here's a video of him reading Chapter 1 of this book. You can watch and listen to him read all the chapters on the HarperKids channel on YouTube (clicking on the YouTube button on the video should take you there.)
Chapter 5 of The Graveyard Book is called "Danse Macabre". This is a tone poem of the same name by Camille Saint-Saens. It is based on a poem of the same name by Henri Cavalis. We'll look at that poem in class and the questions with it will be part of your assessment for this unit.
